Retirement Packages:

All the horses at Lowertown Farm live out through the summer months and rotate around the full 93 acres here, then during the winter, those who need to be stabled can be in one of our four spacious stables. Even those who are stabled during the winter months get on average nine hours of turnout during daylight hours to ease any stiffness.

We also have cameras from Solar Equestrian if your horse has a particular issue and requires special monitoring.

Retirement livery at Grass:
  • Daily checks
  • Farm made haylage in the winter months
  • Basic hard feed when required (Supplements are additional cost)
  • Large grass paddocks 24/7, quality grazing with suitable equine companionship
  • Winter field with quality grazing as standard, natural shelter, good drainage and a portable Equihut field shelter
  • Pampering and daily attention
  • Rug changing & yearly cleaning (repairs extra)
  • Worming programme with Westgate Labs
  • Regular foot trimming by our local farrier Richard Keene
  • Fieldwork - harrowing, rolling, fertilising, weed control
  • Regular emails and photos on our Facebook page, just in case you don't have time to visit

"Hannah gives all the horses kind and attentive care in her peacefully situated yard. Communication and service are thoughtful and professional. Highly recommended"

My mare, Puzzle, has been with Hannah and Luke since March this year (2020). I managed to visit her once before lockdown was enforced, but have been delighted to see how happy, healthy and relaxed she looks from the photographs Hannah regularly puts up on Facebook. I know I don't have to worry about Puzzle, as Hannah and Luke obviously look after the horses in their care as if they were their own. I feel very lucky that Lowertown Farm had a vacancy when I needed it. I'm sure, as their reputation grows, it will become harder to find a space there.
