My horse deserves every moment of his retirement. He gave me so much pleasure (and challenge!) during his working years that when he needed to retire I just wanted him to be able to be a horse again, and spend his latter years being cared for as if I had him at home. This is exactly what Hannah and Luke provide. Their care and attention is excellent but the horses are still all allowed to do their own thing and be themselves. I looked for a while before finding this yard and I've nothing but praise for the attention that's given 24/7.
Luke with his sister on straw delivery day many years ago, and Hannah yet again smiling in the presence of a pony. Luke grew up at Lowertown Farm and all he wanted to do was be a farmer, Hannah on the other hand was escaping the city life every weekend to go riding.
Fresh lick of paint in our double room ready for the coming season. Thanks to Laura Ashley paints.
Just a little bit about all that's going on at Lowertown Farm, in the heart of Dartmoor National Park where the wild ponies roam on England's largest wilderness.
