Enjoyed an afternoon at one of our local hotels today, booked into one of their day spa packages.
Starting at only £27pp why not enjoy some time at a spa during your stay with us at Lowertown Farm?
Sauna, steam room, pool, gym and jacuzzi to enjoy - they also have a fabulous restaurant. Plus all the usual treatments too. 😀
No idea what the gym is like though! I mean... it looks good when walking past on the way to the pool and jacuzzi.
It's great to spend a bit of time with the retirees here, just relaxing in the field and enjoying their company.
Lovely sunny day today so I decided to spend a little bit of time trying to make the grey horse's tails white again! Tasha loved a bit of extra tlc. Their competition days may be over, but I still like them to be presentable whilst enjoying their retirement.
Before and after photos. I don't think it looks too bad considering.

"My Dad and I walked from Ivybridge to Lowertown and were thoroughly relieved to get there!
Little bit of stone walling and fencing this week as the sheep from the moors kept jumping into our field. @ Lowertown Farm
So, today is #farm24 with @farmersguardian and @morrisons so I thought I should probably add a post to explain a bit about us and what we do, which may help those who have followed us through Facebook and Instagram recently too.
Alongside our 93 acre working farm we also have a traditional Dartmoor bed and breakfast, and a specialist equine retirement livery yard on Dartmoor in Devon. Horses on holiday are very welcome to stay with us too.
We have cattle, pigs, chickens, ducks, cats, horses and a dog.....oh and tropical fish. Would love to add pet sheep and goats at some point too! Watch this space. 😂
Just in case you didn't know, we are a 'Red Tractor' approved farm and have regular inspections to ensure that the farm and it's livestock is up to their high standards - often said to be one of (of not) the best welfare standards in the world.
Inspections include everything from regular worming of our pet dog, space requirements in the cattle shed and registering, frequently of use and handling of medications. They also look at how many illnesses and injuries we've seen during a year (hopefully very few) - and what we've done to reduce these. Ensuring that our animals welfare is upmost importance.
